Is plastic surgery a deal breaker?

Assuming you were interested in someone, would them getting plastic surgery make you change your mind? Or for guys, would you still be interested in a girl if she told you she had breast augmentation?

What about a nose job? A lot of people are dissatisfied with their noses and it doesn't mean the person is interested in having any cosmetic surgery other than that

I wouldn't ever pressure or push a woman into doing that but I wouldn't dump them for something they wanted to do or did before we were together.

I think the only deal breaker might be if it was something really stupid/risky like she was busty and wanted to go extreme and get even larger or had a tiny 'perfect' nose and wanted to do Michael Jackson shit and make it super tinier then maybe I'd be like you do that I'm out because it would be more a mental health body dysmorphia issue than something they weren't happy with and I could actually understand.

Food for thought: I think this is the wrong attitude to have. Precisely wrong.

I think people should not even THINK about surgical corrections until they have reached the absolute zenith of what they can achieve naturally. Because not worth it until then.

E. g.
My husband keeps his body fat around 8-9 percent. We measure all his food, he tracks all his macros, he even has to schedule when to "cheat" on the diet. All this to MAINTAIN.
With some good lipo, he'd be able to maintain (or improve) the look, and relax a bit. Less gym time, more daddy time. When he's ready, wifey's more than glad to write a check.

Versus, if he were 25 percent body fat, I'd just tell him to get off his lazy ass and walk up some damn stairs. Ya know?

That's what gets me. Surgery IS an extreme thing! So you should do it after you try all the other things! Not before. Gee wiz.

That isn't to say that some people have body image issues that can't just be fixed naturally, some therapy can or might help but for most people today the solution is to correct the issue not talk about it for weeks/months.

Depends on the reason. If she had it because she didn't like her naturally small breasts that would be a deal breaker for me. If she did it for other medical reasons I think I could be okay with it.

Is it just because they're fake? What if the girl had gotten a breast reduction for cosmetic purposes but it is still her breasts, is that a bad thing too?

It is for a few reasons. Fake ones never feel the same, and I prefer smaller breasts. Breast reduction I would be more comfortable with because it is still the natural tissue and they would be smaller. If she was a breast cancer survivor and had an implant to make them more even that would be perfectly fine for me.

No I think it makes sense, even if someone didn't prefer smaller breasts there is still that difference between natural breast tissue and implants

Slight corrections I'm okay with or corrections which have a medical reason for them. It's hypocritical to be against plastic surgery in today's appearance dominated society.

I'm only against the really big corrections, which totally change a person. Partially because you can pretty much always tell and it just doesn't look that good. Another reason is because you can change your appearance, but your genetics remain the same. If it's someone I'm just having sex with, I won't care no matter what the extent of their plastic surgery is, as long as they look good. If I'm looking to commit, I'll care only if it's drastic and non-medical related.

Also, I don't hate boob-jobs but if a girl who is already my girlfriend wanted to get a boob-job I would be strongly against it, regardless of whether it's implants or a reduction, unless there's a medical reason.

The details are important in this. If augmentation was done to correct a defect (one breast is significantly smaller than the other) or if her boobs were miniscule then I wouldn't think twice. If nature gave her B's and she wanted D's then I'd wonder about her maturity/mental stability.

dependent on the extent. If we're talking augmentation after augmentation, etc, then yeah see ya. Otherwise not an issue at all.

Not exactly a deal breaker some of those things, a nose job is fine unless it's worse to look at, as for breast implants , if she did it just to be bigger , I really don't like fake ones
