You can't force love thats more like lusting for somebody and just wanting to have sex with them. Or it could be unrequited love where you love them but they don't care or love you back.

Have you read the book? Gatsby is obsessed with Daisy, convinced she loves him. He needs her to love him back to fulfill his dream. And yes it's unrequited love
