Believe it or not, NSP's "Wondering Tonight". A big portion of the joke behind the band is that their music is mostly (MOSTLY) about trying and failing to get women to have sex with them, and despite what you'd expect from that, it's actually mostly pretty solid, artistically; not quite "high art masquerading as low art"- it lacks the pretentiousness, for one, and is FAR too gloriously absurd- and more of a "schmaltzy premise with incongruously good tunes" type of thing, but the same basic kind of idea.
"Wondering Tonight" is a post-breakup song contrasting the depths of emotional turmoil that brings with the ludicrousness of high-school-level sexual slang; hardly the kind of thing you'd expect to provoke feelings of loneliness. And yet...
