Why a guy feel cringe when I calls him "baby" ?

Recently I have been being close with this boy whom is 2 years younger than me. We study in the same university. Few days ago, I asked for a help from him pretending to be my boyfriend since my ex being so childish and dramatic with his new girlfriend. eventhough i dont involve with them anymore to be frank, i dont put this new boy as rebound because we are still on going to get to know each other. Then, this boy that recently close with he just agreed to help. To be honest I have. crush on him. By then, i called him "baby" while he being so gentleman with asking my condition during we spend time together. When I was call him "baby" in our conversations , he told me off saying "is calling me "baby" will be continously?" I felt abit sad but i asked him "you dont like it?" But then he said he was not but he felt cringe each time I called him baby. I wondered, is the cringe because of calling a boy "baby" is good or bad in between us? Since that day, i keep on calling him baby , but he didn't against it anymore , but just say/replying yes each time i calls him. He is Scorpio and I am Virgo.. i want to know how I want to make him likes me as much I like him. Any idea? In advance , thank you.

Some people don't like names like that... I don't like to call people them and I don't like being called them... So as he said it is cringey, everytime you call him it he won't like it especially as you didn't bother listening to him saying he didn't like it... you just carried on... So I would say just stop calling him baby and you will be fine

Thank you for your replying , but is it good for the relationship if he didn't against it anymore? Or should i just stop it. I didn't feel hurt, but I feel somehow "Am i rushing things too quickly?" Since he is a Scorpio Horoscope which they takes their own time to feel it.

Yh he won't say it again but you should stop... don't think being a Scorpio has anything to do with it... He just doesn't like being called it

I wouldn't. cringe. if a girl. called me baby. I would love it. Maybe he doesn't feel. the same way about. you the way do. Now, typically baby is used when you are in some. kind. or. form. of a relationship. But a girl I liked called me that, I wouldn't mind. So maybe ask. him how he feels. about. you.

Thank you for the reply. Well by asking him how felt about me, i rather seeing his body language nor his act rather hearing words which can be lead to dishonest. By his act/body language, he does showing some interest on me such as letting me holding his hand, and wrapped around his arm while walking in the mall which not all boy give to some certain girl unless if he has feelings right? If he does not like it , he surely can just distance away from me, but he didn't.

How long have you known each other? Because again. the word baby is used for people who. are in some form of relationship. Or it could be that he likes you, but not the word.

I understand that some men don't like it, personally that's something I love and maybe even more is the girl is older than me.
