Should I tell him I don't like it or just let it be?

Wow! That's my pet peeve too! I hate that word! lt's really creepy. Tell him nicely that you don't like it and how nauseating it is, whatever will make him associate with something really bad so he never says it again on accident. When someone tries to call me that I tell them it sounds like a bodily function. Then I do a really obnoxious fake burp while saying: "Bughhhhhabeee!" They expression "Babe" comes from the baby boomers who did a lot of drugs and had all kinds of sexually promiscuous behavior with multiple strangers back in the 1960s and 70s. Those people went around calling everyone Babe because that was too many names to remember. It's still associated with drugs and bad morals and it's carryover from that although some people don't realize it.
