Giving her space a good idea?

OK so I've been seeing this girl for a little over a month now. I really like her but it seems her interest level has fallen somewhat. I'm thinking I maybe messed up with not giving her enough space.

I usually talk to her every day. Which is great, but of course sometimes it ends with awkward silence and then for me that's the queue to go. She also works at a restaurant and I've swung by there a few times for lunch and to say hi as well. Hindsight I'm thinking maybe that was a bad idea too.

So here's the question should I give her some more space to see if that will build her interest level some more and from now on give her some more space. I remember the saying "absence makes the heart go fonder" but it would be cool to get some input from you folks. Thanks

I think that is a great idea, I am going through something similar and have the same "saying" in the back of my head. Sometimes it is good when you let them communitcate towards you to see how they really feel, e.g don't send the first text or wait for them to call you instead of you calling them. But remember don't judge her on the time you spend together or talking on the phone, judge based off the content and quality of time spend, either on the phone or in person. But I myself would back off and let her make the next move. If she asks why you have been distant, then simply reply, I am giving you what I feel you need, some space.

If for nothing else, for your purposes. Even if she has alone time requirements, I'm getting from your post that she has stated what they are, and that is her responsibility to do so if she expects you to respect them.

Really, this is about when I say give her space. And that's because there is no point in you putting in effort, that will undoubtedly lead to you feeling more attached. If she can't respect the kind of person you are, she's not worth either of those qualities.

I feel, that in the beginning of the relationship- actually just a little after the amazing honeymoon period- it's important to give each other the chance to miss the other person. It's great to talk every day BUT after a while you might end up with very little to say and the interest levels will drop. Maybe- try going a day a week not talking to her/instigating conversation. I think she'd miss you and be like OMG! must talk to him NOW.

Oh yeah, you was up in her grill way too much. For one, it kind of says that you don't really have a life or anything else better to do than to focus on her. Try not contacting her for a day or two. Let her think about you and want to contact you. Meanwhile, make yourself busy and when and if she does call you, you be the one to end the conversation before it starts getting dry.

Definitely back off and stop being so clingy. Let her come to you sometimes.
