Will giving her space help her decide what she wants?

We've been together on and off for six months. At the very beginning of our relationship she had to move away to prepare for the Air Force. Recently her recent ex that she lost her virginity to before we got together has been texting her and trying to get her back. She broke up with me for what she says is the last time yesterday because she says she doesn't know what she wants. She told me I was perfect to her in everyway but its not fair to lead me on if she's not over him. She made it clear that she wasn't going to be with either of us and that while she loves me she still has some feelings for him. I love this girl to death and I'm so torn on what to do.

Give her some space. Let her take some time to herself , and you take some time to yourself. Even though it will be difficult not to contact her its in your best interest to leave it alone for a little while. Let her ideally come to you, then you'll know that you have the "upper hand" so to speak. You want to wait and see if she comes to you and put the ball in her court. You don't want to be constantly chasing or seem desperate, this is not attractive to a woman. She's done with you dude. Let her go. Go out on the town with your friends. Have as much sex as you can with random, strange women... not trying to be an ass but it helps.

It's pretty clear that she can't get over the first guy and if he's around, in the end she'll choose him over you, I would say give it some time, but after a month..it's pretty clear...that you should move on.
