What is it that guys want?

I always here guys saying they want to be in a relationship, they are open to having a girlfriend and yet they seem unable to actually make a commitment. These same guys who say they are 'good guys' are also self proclaimed 'ladies men'. Do guys want relationships or do they really just want to hook up until they meet one girl who is just amazing to them? It just seems like guys don't ask girls out anymore...Do guys like nice girls? Do they just want the girls they can't have? Are you guys impressed by smart girls or does that even matter? Us girls just don't know what it is you want, so please just tell it straight up, right here.

I think it just depends on the guy.. everyone is different and has their own traits.. I know I want a relationship, but I know some guys that don't want one and don't want to get married anytime soon either.. I'm not sure how much guys get caught up in the whole smart thing.. smart is relative anyway, lol.. nobody is perfect and a mature man will understand that. Where are you meeting these guys tho? At bars, clubs, ect..? If so, you probably won't find too much there... unfortunately good people can be hard to find, especially when you're talking about relationships.. One other thing, instead of waiting for a guy to ask you out, why don't you go up some guys.. I know I love it when girls start the convo with me, instead of always waiting for me to do it. Give it a try, you might be suprised :)

Haha oh this isn't directed at any one guy in my life or anything like that, I'm not bitter about men, but I have a lot of guy friends that aren't bad guys and these girls will like them and they just don't care and I just don't get it...

The problem is guys are generally scared or don't want to commit. It takes a lot more time for a guy to commit to a girl.

I can not speak for ALL men every man is different as in every woman is different and I am a firm believer in soul mates meaning that... There is someone for everyone that will meet your needs.

Personally I want a woman who doesn't think I am some kind of psychic and can simply read her mind. Can be open and honest and tell the truth even if the truth hurts at times. Someone who is supportive and nurturing and helps me be a better person.

Being nurturing means that she can offer a shoulder to cry on that shows a woman is nurturing more than anything.

Someone who won't just tell me to be better but actually help me in achieving it. Someone who puts in the same amount of effort as I do. Someone who isn't entitled to me time, money, etc.

While I do pay out of just being nice I do like a woman who doesn't mind paying at least her half.

I do want a woman who is beautiful though that isn't the most important thing to me.

Someone who is independent but also wanting to be with someone. Someone who doesn't have a bunch of dumb and unrealistic standards someone who does not have double standards is a big one.
I would want her to be a Christian and I am sorry but I don't want a woman who sleeps around a lot.
