My boyfriend is so unintelligent, what should I do?

I don't know what to do. My boyfriend is very, very unintelligent. He cannot spell it seems past a fifth grade level...asks me things over and over until I get agitated and finally he stops...we have an online store together and he always sends out the wrong things and costs me money...does not use common sense...asks questions that are no brainers, for example I will post "goodnight all!" on facebook at 4AM and he will message "was it a late night?". He cannot write normal sentences and I have to proof read everything and correct everything he writes for our online store like he is a small child and I am his teacher. he is a personal watercraft and motorcycle mechanic but still he can't even differentiate between certain parts that I can, and I know nothing about bikes or pwc. His vocabulary is that of a junior high school kid. I don't know, maybe this is getting to me more since I am on medications now that have altered my mood or maybe it really is that bad where I can't take it anymore.

i try to talk to him but he understands nothing. I guess he TRIES to be smart but just...isn't. I tried to find out if he ever had a learning disability and he said no. But it just seems like he does not know basic adult things. all he knows is about fixing motorcycles and cars and pwc. he is 24 years old, have never tried to move out of his parents home (but he is paying for rent, paying for his mother's car and his own 3 cars...and his and his mother's phone bill) and it does not seem like he wants to be out on his own anytime soon.

i don't know what to do. I don't know what to say. we have gotten into fights before where I get fed up and ask him why he is so stupid, if he is just acting stupid to try and be cute or does he really have intelligence problems. I know it's wrong but it just bothers me so much.

we have been together for 6 months so far. what should I do? should I break it off? it is causing so much stress in our relationship.

maybe your just really intelligent, that gonna be frustrating with the majority of people you meet, maybe he's not that dumb but is so uncomfortable in certain situations especially if he knows he's trying to please you or be flirty. are your normal conversation filled with boring dribble where you want to ignore him and maybe strangle him, then end it. If your noticing now its only gonna get worse, does he have interests try talking to him about that he may blow yu away with how knowledgeable he is in some ways. maybe not though some people are really really empty up there.

If you're not happy or satisfied with him, break it off. If you still have any love for him, in who he is, then deal with it. It's up to you on how you feel.

My question is - did he drop out of school at an early age? Or better yet, does he do drugs? Cause I've met some big-time stoners before, and they really are slow in the head. Heck, I met a recovering crack/cocaine user once and his speech had relatively little intelligence behind it. Maybe he was dropped when he was a baby. Whatever the case, he might have some type of brain damage that's permanent.

Nope I actually am a pothead and he has never touched drugs in his life. it's like it is the other way around which baffles my mind. he didn't drop out of school but he was always ditching and had bad grades, and I was the total opposite. it's just weird, he never acted this way when we first started dating.

I very rarely call someone unintelligent. Most people have some aspect of life in which they have intelligence. Your boyfriend knows how to fix motorcycles. I wouldn't be able to differentiate the parts whatsoever. You have obviously explained he doesn't have book smarts, but does he have "street" smarts? I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt though, so...

If it really is annoying you that much and you think that won't change over time, end it sooner than later.
