i basically told her I needed some cheering up, and she recommended this movie because a certain thing the girl in the movie does, makes her laugh. We've been talking more lately, texting back and forth. We have a lot of things in common. I like her.

Okay this is what I obviously think. She is trying to give you a sign that she likes you, Because I always recommended songs to guys I liked about how I felt about them, and it's quite possible she's doing the same with this movie :).

So take a risk and make a move,. I mean you'll never know if she really did it as a sign if you don't risk some :)

I wouldn't jump to conclusions. I have definitely found myself enjoying a movie or a song, recommending it to someone and later realizing they might take it the wrong way.

So, you can either make sure this is part of a pattern with her (flirting, etc.) or you can just take that leap of faith and ask her out for a date.
