I found an unopened box on condoms in a bag that belongs to my husband and don't know what to believe?

Yesterday morning i was looking for something and was on the phone to my hubby and he said it might be under his wakeboard bag. I looked and found nothing so i looked inside his wakeboard bag and found an unopened box of condoms with a 3 year expiry still. Naturally i thought the worst as we don't use them... Has he been cheating on me?

Later that night i confront him over it. He is shocked and tells me they are not his and has no idea how they got there. He said maybe they belong to his friend who used it last. I didn't know what to think do or say and was just upset this was happening. I call his friend with his permission and ask him if he has borrowed the wakebard and bag recently and he says no not that he can recall. I was upset and just walked away. My hubby tells me he would never cheat on me as he would never want to be with anyone else or risk what we have. But still can't offer an explanation on where they came from... i really want to believe him but don't know what to think or do. I've asked him for some space today as i want to be alone. We have both been cheated on in the past in previous relationships so i know what it feels like to be betrayed and hurt and would never do that to someone. I assume he is the same. But i just don't know what to think as there is no simple explanation on who they belong to and where they came from? What would you do?

Sorry to say it but they are his. I have been there before. The excuses “it’s not my bag” “I don’t know how they got there.”

My ex only admitted the truth 9 years later and even though I knew the truth inside I wanted to believe I was crazy and he certainly helped to convince me I was. He was a very good liar, even swore in our children’s lives.

It is up to you how you resolve this. You could choose to ignore and accept that your husband sleeps around and don’t stress yourself out. You can opt to look for more evidence, but this will stress you out and turn you into someone you don’t recognise anymore.

Or you can walk away which can be very tough and may cause you distress depending on your character. I did all three options, except I didn’t walk away, he did with a younger woman and I was left alone and seriously depressed.

Let it go until you have something more concrete. If there is no trust, there is no relationship. We tend to make up stories in our head. Look for the facts... you found a box of condoms - fact. The box was unopened - fact. That's it. Not enough facts to send the man to the dog house just yet. Have faith in your live.

Maybe there will be time he will tell you more...
Enjoy your relation, focus on good stuff. Even it is difficult as you've lost some trust... Think about your mental comfort and forget.

It does sound bad. However, some weird things do happen. When we were teenagers, we slipped some used condoms we found, into the boat that belonged the family where two teen girls lived. Yes, stupid and unthinking. I'm sure the two girls could give no explanation either. However, a box of condoms is suspicious. He needs to be very clear with you in communication as to where he is, and who he is spending time with.

He's either cheating or thinking about it. What makes it really bad is that he can't be upfront and honest with you about it. I would take a week or two to focus on yourself and strengthen your mental state. As this realization may cause you to do something rash

You check the expiration date? They might be from when he didn't know you. I had a vasectomy 5 years ago and I found a box of them not too long ago I completely forgotten about in my truck in the door storage compartment. If they're new, he's cheating.

Personally, I'd forgive but not forget, if he sounds genuine and the relationship is otherwise going well.
