This is a power exchange. A father figure is a caretaker, a guide, and a producer. Referring to a partner with the term could be a simple term of endearment, or it could imply this power exchange on some level, where the woman needs the man to produce, take care of her, or make decisions for her.
I'm a Daddy Dom and even in the beginning I didn't care for hearing it but when the right person calls you Daddy, it's a completely different reaction.
Same. I had a lottt of warning that my ex was going to start calling me this and it took me a while to get comfortable with the idea. Then she let slip once and it felt weird but i loved her by that stage so i just tried to show acceptance and tolerance. We were being intimate at the time, so i just held her tighter and acted more vigorously so she'd know it's ok and she hadn't upset me. In time she filled me in on cg/l and complimented me by saying i was naturally a good DD. I still think i might just be more hedonistic than a DD because i really enjoy making my partner have the best possible time she can have. So being called something like that is really rewarding for me, i feel like there's a level of trust there which you can't get any other way. I really miss being that close to a woman now
Same for me actually, except it was slightly reversed. I was into it but not really, it just sounded awkward for me to say out loud so I mean I thought it but never spoke it. My boyfriend is the one who really wanted me to embrace it and say it more. And I guess when I eventually found it inside to say it everything kind of placed together greatly. He gets really excited and lights up when I say it now. Which is basically like his second name I say it all the time lol. Anyway, DDLG relationships are extremely close and intimate. He is a good DD too. And I agree it does depend on the right person.
@damoM it really is, but I think more people are getting into the scene now more thank ever. Of course you'll have some people who just think it's cute or a phase. They'll grow out of it or mock it, but I think since it's bringing in more people the odds of finding someone real out of it gets higher as well. It really is a great connection. I hope you find it again since you miss it so much.
I find it weird... I actually prefer 'lord' or 'king.' Lol calling him my 'lord' casually was really fun. Current boyfriend loves it with his authoritative ass.
I liked it. Not boyfriend I might have daddy issues. I don't but I liked calling him daddy. My boyfriend is not the fence about it

It's pretty stupid and cliché. Honestly if a woman calls me that I lose some respect
I feel like it depends on the woman honestly. I get an annoyed cliche feeling from it when girls who don't understand what it means say it like it's just a fun bed thing. I mean they're allowed to do that and have fun, but it's a lifestyle some people live due to it's DDLG and BDSM orgins. So I mean, it's a little serious to know the difference and know what you're saying I feel. Random girls on the street who throw it out like candy are the reasons why it can be looked at as cliche. It's annoying.
Ofc makes me feel like big dawg understand? When a real man is in your guts you call him daddy thats how it go
she can call me daddy, papa, Papi, gramps, son, my dad's name whatever she wants lol
You're right about the 50/50 thing. I really like it but my friend thinks it's really weird.
I've never had a SO call me Daddy.
I don't get off on it but it neither bothers me.
Weird. Unless it's in a parental sense.
I kinda do but have only had one woman do it
I'm squeeged out by it.
