Love someone without dating them?

I was wondering if it's possible for a person to love someone else before dating them. And I don't mean love as in a simple crush or infatuation, but love as in extremely strong feelings, caring, obsessing, and just willing to do about anything to make them maybe like you back.

I know for sure there can be infatuations, but I've only heard, though never encountered myself, a situation where someone loves someone else so much, that they're willing to sacrifice so much for them, even when they're not dating. Because I only heard it, I'm not sure if it's real or just some made up BS. So I'm asking you, is it possible?

What kinds of sacrifice? Before you're willing to make sacrifices you should get to know the person. -I'm completely infatuated with a guy right now and I feel like there is a lot I would do to spark his interest again, because I felt like we had a really great connection when we met.

-If this is real and not just a hypothetical situation call her/text her, get to know her, show her your interest! Please! See if you have a connection, then make your sacrifices, but don't lose yourself completely, that is never a good thing! :)

yes. I'm experiencing it right now. I know for a fact that it's love, because I'm in love with my best guy friend, who I wasn't at all physically attracted to for the first year of our friendship. I just fell in love with his personality and how he is so different from everyone else, he has all these amazing quirks, and I just started to care so much more about him, so deeply. He means so much to me now, and we aren't dating. So yes, I think it's definitely possible.

If you really love her so much, then what's holding you back from asking her out...age, work complications, etc.? Maybe she feels the same way.

In your case, you're living out a fantasy about someone. It could be anyone, but you choose the person closest to you.

Time to find someone closer to you than someone with imaginary qualities.

Of course its possible. A relationship is just a label, emotions are emotions regardless of those labels. People tend to think that something isn't serious because it isn't "official" meaning they aren't dating but your emotions pay no attention to that and doesn't hold back just because you're not dating the person.
