Is it okay to think my wife's sister is prettier?

It is what it is. It's not a crime to accept that another girl is prettier than your partner. You are with your partner for more reasons than just their looks, or at least that SHOULD be the case.

I also understand the value of a white like and trust me used to employ them all the time. Was challenged to be more honest and feel like these days I am as honest as possible, so that means no white lies. I am not trying to be obtuse, but be honest. I guess in my case I would expect my wife to have self confidence and see the beauty in her sister and know that I love her not just for her physical looks.

I understand shit tests, and understand they are based in insecurities. But remember if she is asking me then she already knows the answer, and because she knows I am honest I cannot tell her the white lie. Just like if she ever asks the classic "does this dress make me look fat" I can answer that honestly and then reassure her that I still love her.

It's just an opinion. You're allowed to have one. It's just not necessary to tell that opinion to your wife. There are always going to be people who are more attractive than your partner.
