It's kind of like living the dream. There's a pause that needs filling, umm, fuck, got nothing, intriguing, or tell me more, and how did that make you feel? Standard filler stuff that works well to say absolutely nothing, but keep you talking about yourself and hopefully get in your pants.

The less a guy says about himself, and the more we get you to talk about yourself, the better. That's when things like "I feel like I've known you so long!" come out, and we're like "Wow, I was just about to say that!" not "Wow, so did my last date!"
