Yes. I have been friends with my best friend since we were both 5 year-old, and being around her is very therapeutic.

Whenever I've felt stressed or gone through sad and difficult times in my life, she's the one person that could turn my tears into a genuine smile. Being around her can alleviate my stress an instant

I've met many pure people, but I can't spend time with them. I have a tendency to unintentionally be a bad influence.

I had the opportunity, a couple years ago, to date a VERY nice woman I met when I went with an acquaintance to an event for his church. She was absolutely beautiful, level-headed, bright, kind, physically-fit, and didn't exactly play games about being attracted to me. I was going to ask her out until, during our long conversation, she said something along the lines of "I'm saving myself for my husband." That's a no-go, for me.

As much as I was attracted to her, I was also repelled. I can't be around people like her, because I refuse to play a possible part in spoiling their purity.

but those people turned after few months/years into somebody I felt with 1000 times worse than being alone.
