Jealous sister in-law?

My bfs sister in law (his brothers wife) told me that because she’s been apart of my bfs life and family for 10 years and I’ve been apart of it for only 2 that I will never mean as much to my boyfriend as she will. Why would she say that?

She doesn't seem to understand how romantic relationships work? Like... that's like my brother in-law (husband's sister's husband) telling me that because he and his wife have been married for 8 years and we've only been married for 1 that he means more to my husband than I do?

Uh... what? She also doesn't seem to grasp the concept that marrying one member of the family does not automatically make everyone else in that family love you lol

From the sounds of it she's a jealous bitch. In my opinion, perhaps your boyfriend's family really likes you and she's jealous because she's been there for longer. But nothing to worry about, your boyfriend will always out you first, he loves you, not his brother's wife. Have you mentioned it to him?

Absolutely. He was appalled and is not happy with her at all. There’s a lot more drama with this girl. Just the beginning of it. She also told me to “slow down” and that all I want to be is married and pregnant (yes we want kids but like in a few years). So she’s worried that I’m going to trap my boyfriend.
