I can't speak for all guys, but personally I like darker skinned black women. I'm live in a big midwestern city & am actually starting to see more interracial dating with white guys & black girls. It use to be mostly white girls with black guys but over the last 5-6 years or so, I have noticed that the reverse a lot more. I've always been attracted to black girls, and I've always been more drawn to darker skinned black women. This may offend someone, but I think it's an issue of fear. This is just from what I've observed, but white guys that are from the inner city or "the hood" are more drawn to the darker skinned, thicker black women. And white guys that were raised in upper class, suburban areas are more into the light skinned, smaller framed black girls. And I believe it's because although an upper class yuppie may be attracted to a black woman, he's still afraid of the black race as a whole. It's been instilled in them for generations. So subconsciously he chooses to go for a lighter skinned black woman. While white men like myself, that were raised in the hood don't have that fear because we've lived side by side with black folks for generations. Myself, I like em all shades, but I am more attracted to darker skinned black women, like the Chocolate Goddess in the second picture.

Its hard to say, I guess some guys are just naturally attracted to lighter skin. I am attracted to all shades and I find black girls who are darker very attractive. There may be quite a few reasons why they are much more likely to approach a mixed/lighter girl than they would a darker black girl. They might assume your sister would be less willing to date out simply because she is darker and therefore don't make the efforts, many guys seem to like girls who are really thin and she just might not fit that criteria.

I like darker black women but I think it really depends on where you grow up, I pretty much see interracial dating most days where I live and generally the black girls tend to be dark. I guess it just might be more accepted here but is she actually interested in dating out?
it's because she's thick. white guys and guys who identify with white culture (I wanna say "act white" but that would be ignorant) prefer thinner girls. from what I have noticed, in most of the black woman + white man couples I've seen, the black woman usually has brown to dark skin but she is always slender. most white and spanish guys that I have seen date black women are usually dating brown skin black girls or dark ones. most light skin black girls I have seen usually stick to black men. I dated a white guy and I'm caramel and thick but he was one of those ghetto white boys lol

? Who knows. I wouldn't exactly say that it's true. But maybe some of the guys willing to go for black chicks are only willing to go so dark. Which only adds to the amount that go for lighter skined black chicks. I myself am not really into black girls but If I met someone who I really liked I think I would still only go so dark. No offence. If you are just basing it off of you and your sister, maybe it's cause she is a little thicker? At one point I thought that if a guy liked black girls he likes all shades, but that is kinda narrow minded and now I think they have different tastes.
All the black women I've been with were dark-medium complected. I just care if the girl looks good overall and we are compatible.
