Relationships should have more than how good people look together. It doesn't matter and shouldn't matter what color or contrast they are. That would be incredibly shallow. I'm dark I have a daughter with a white girl but It never crossed my mind that I preferred her because the color of her skin or her think that. It didn't work out so I married a Hispanic girl and have two girls from her. To confuse you even more the Hispanic girl is a lighter complexion than the tan white girl. Either way both relationships didn't work out because guess what? I can be an asshole. That I assure you has nothing to do with my color or mixed heritage. It's nothing wrong with having a kink, but when it's your main reason for wanting people, then there's a big problem. Last year there was a woman I was talking to for 8 months and called it off with her, because she came out and told me she's never been with the black guy and wants to know if the myth is true. I know for a fact that a lot of white people who haven't been around black people growing up or frequently will have those weird desires or fetishes because of what they heard or from what they seen in porn possibly.
I prefer to be with my own race, but I'm not against interracial relationships at all. However I do have concerns when a white woman is interested in me. You can give them the benefit of the doubt but still whether they grew up in a majority or all white or prejudice area growing up, they should still know how to approach someone not based on a stereotype or what they grew up seeing. I grew up in a majority black neighborhood and community overall, her at the same time I just don't go up to white people or white women at that and say some derogatory or disregarding words based on how I sing white women carry themselves on TV movies or the stereotypes that are spoken of and joked about amongst black people or even in porn. I like white guys better, i dated black guys during uni but that's my general preference w/ thick black hair, average body (not muscular), average height (not shorter than me or much taller), black eyes, thin lips, no facial hair and not a lot of body hair either.

i agree, but i think a part of ending racism is encouraging interracial couples. racism has lost a lot of power, but its still present, so celebrating those who date outside their race should be something done more often
The main cause of racism is focusing primarily on ones race or skin color, by still focusing on race and skin color promotes racism not ends it. The only way to end racism is to make the color of a persons skin irrelevant to our opinions about them. A persons worth is not determined by their skin color, lets encourage all loving relationships. Focus not on our differences but on our similarities.
