Do you have many important people in your life with the same name?

Question

And how is your relationship with them?
I admit that for me, is a certain female name starting with M.
My girlfriend, my mother, one of my closest friends and the woman I had a short fling with after my break up all share this name, and don't think it's a simple coincidence. Collaterally, my sister has M. has her second name (it is a naming custom here) and one of my ex colleagues had that name too.

I was talking about a friend who has my Brother in Law's name. Luckily, online, he uses his middle initial, which helps me, but it's tough for my mom to remember which person I'm talking about, the friend or the relative. I always have to back up and say "Not OUR ___________, but my friend _____________.

I have a few cousins - My girl cousin's sister in law has the same first name as her. She also married a guy with a brother's first name. Almost married another guy with her dad's name, but they didn't get married.

In addition to that, historically, we've had a lot of guys down the male line who would name their son or grandson with the same name, so we have a lot of guys with the same first and last name, so the tree gets a little confusing on family legends, events, dates and times.

An aunt of mine (another side) married two guys with the same first name, and "seriously" dated another two with that same first name (but didn't marry them), So when my mom is mentioning an event from a long time ago, she has to go by the full name. Even then, still a bit confusing to keep track of who was who. Luckily, they weren't a huge part of my life, but gets confusing, especially when they were similar types of guys.

Funny fact! One of my former co-workers name is Jean Marie. (Jean pronounced the American way). I still keep in contact with her on Facebook! I also used her as a reference for another job :3

Well I know many people with my first name as it is an extremely common first name. But I am not close with any of them. I keep them at a distance. I cannot fully trust someone with my first name. It's a problem I have.

My brother has the same name as my boyfriend. Gets confusing when we are all home. "James! Could I have another gin, please?" I get two! 😂😂😂

However... about 5/6 same name at my job. So they call me by my last name. Anyone call me by my first name, I don't recogn. to respond lol

Considering that the first 4 kids here take the names of their grandparents we have plenty of same names in the family. It's not an issue at all... After all we weren't named the same by coincidence 🤷🏻‍♀️

The majority of my crushes had names that started with J. There was James, then Orlando Jonathan Bloom (yes, the actor, lol), then a different James, then Jake, then Jackson, then Jon. Funny that my BF’s name starts with an E 🤷🏽‍♀️
