Guys, Laying on top?

me and my boyfriend were in the movies and we have these recliner chairs and we were laying there but he asked me to lay on top of him (im hesitant because he is smaller than me my mom says and i feel like I’ll squish him but our size is he is a stick and im sorta thick lol) but he pulled me on top of him and i didn't know what to do should i just lay on top of him when he asks? Or should i stay hesitant?
