Boyfriend still talks to ex... still has feelings for her?

My boyfriend and I have been together for over 3 years, but we've broken up a few times. During our last break up, he reconnected with an ex he dated years ago. They both admitted to having feelings for each other, but she ultimately rejected him because she knew our history and didn't want to be the rebound. We ended up getting back together, but I just found all of this out. It was only after she turned him down that he came to me wanting another chance, AND THEY STILL TALK!!!

He said they're just friends and that he loves me, not her. They dated very briefly a long time ago, but doesn't it mean something that their feelings resurfaced after all that time? As far as I know, she still has feelings for him even though she has a boyfriend!

I hate that they still talk, but he was friends with her long before he and I met. It doesn't seem like I have the right to tell him to end the friendship, but now I'M the one who feels like the rebound.

Is it possible he has feelings for her even though he's with me?

A boy who is really focused on you wouldn’t be communicating with an ex, regardless of how long you guys dated doesn’t mean anything if he still has feelings with his. People tend to show their true intentions after a break up sometimes and for them to say they have feelings for each other after y’all break up just shows what is about tbh. You have to talk to him, because these are just our opinions and personal experiences.
