Do guys like receiving compliments from their girlfriends?

I was out with my boyfriend (still fairly new relationship) and I have been complimenting him, like telling him I love his eyes and he said he never gets compliments from women and he gets all red and blushy. Is this weird to guys? Do they enjoy when we do this? I want him to know how I feel and make him feel good about himself but k don’t want to freak the poor guy out.

I think the way its recieved is different. Like in my case sure its neat to hear but i dont have the emotional need to hear it like a girl usually does. So i guess it just takes more getting used to as well since i dont feel like its as common for a guy to be complimented like that

of course. who does not like recieving compliments? outside of those that come from a culture where compliments ate considered insulting

I think they like it as much as we do, but don’t receive them as often. Makes sense they would like it because we all want to know that our partners find us attractive.

My boyfriend told me that guys dont get many compliments in general and it makes him happy when i compliment him :)

Uh... yeah they like it. In fact if you DON'T do it, we (boyfriends) more than likely are gonna question your feelings towards us.
