What do dead birds and broken trees symbolise?

I was sitting outside and went in the house and came back and a dead bird was on the floor next to my seat. Today I'm walking and a tree branch snaps and lands beside me.
I read and it says this is a sign of an end to something bad.
I'm suffering from a bad break up and want to text my ex. Is this a higher power telling me the break up will come to an end?
