Sadly, it took my wife and I to learn when building a intimate bond, one should
learn to become best friends with that partner instead of a outside party.
There is a sense of divisiveness in the term best friend, even to the point
a girl’s other female friends might view the discomfort of the situation and
slowly disconnect. Be it a male or female, your partner should never be put
at odds or in a position where they felt compromised by a outside party.
The sharing of key information about you makes this a intimate relationship,
so even though you’re not having sexual relations with your male friend, your
still putting your partner in a uncomfortable position that would make any clear
minded person think twice about continuing that relationship. Don’t get me
wrong, I completely believe you two are just friends but the set up is all wrong
to build a healthy and long lasting relationship with your partner. Boundaries
have to be set in place and agreed upon. I know this personally because my
wife was childhood friends with me and one of my sisters, whom she remains
close with till this day. Also, my once upon a time best friend from the fourth
grade is no longer my best friend because he has been married to my twin
sister Zayniah for the past five years. He is now my bro and I have to tell him,
look man, talk to your wife. She comes first, she’s his wife before she’s my sister.
Boundaries must be respected with no loss of love.
Talk to your boyfriend seriously about it. He needs to understand why you felt like how you did and he should understand. Just try to make him understand why you feel like you trust your best guy friend more. Maybe you've known him longer or what not
why not have a get together with your boyfriend and your best friend so they can meet each other and then
let your boyfriend see that your best friend is just that to you ! thanks

Is there any reason you can't confide in your boyfriend? How long have you been with you're boyfriend and guy friend? Could simply be you know your guy friend longer so have built up a level of trust.
