What age groups do you frequent the most? Older, younger or around your age?

For me it varies on context.
Most women I associate with are in the 25 - 35 and 45 - 50 age groups; while the men go from the 40 - 45 to the 55 - 65 age groups.
Naturally I behave differently based on the group - for example, yesterday at a dinner whose partecipants were mostly friends and associates of the latter group, I had to warn them to not overdo it and be careful with drinking given their age and that they need to take care of their health.

For friends, my favorites have always been people quite a bit older than me or quite a bit younger, and not so many people my own age. Most of my greatest friends that I've known for over a decade are 5-10 years younger or older than me.

The main reason I think I prefer this and seem to click most with people a bit younger or a bit older and not my own age group is that I look exceptionally young for my age. Even Japanese people (who tend to look quite young) still place me in the mid-late 20s even though I'm 40s.

So what tends to happen when I hang out in social groups with people my own age is that they tend to treat me like the young one in the group or constantly remark on my youthful appearance which I find irritating when I'm not any younger than those people. Meanwhile, when I hang out with people a bit younger than me (say the late 20s to mid-30s nowadays), they don't do that. When I hang out with people older than me (say 50s+), they do that but I don't mind it since I actually am quite a bit younger.

Dating is different. For dating, I tended to date women around my age or just barely younger (ex: my wife is just a year younger). But that's a more one-on-one relationship that doesn't involve group dynamics. For groups of friends and acquaintances, I always preferred a mixed group consisting mostly of people who are a bit younger than me or a bit older than me, and not so many of the same age.

Older I guess. I pic up on their personalities and I hear their stories. Makes me have better judgment. However is none an option. I still prefer to be by myself most of the time.

I would generally say it’s 20 to 35.

Quite a few guys who are mates and my age are married and not allowed out to play lol.

Most of my friends are exactly my age but it does differ since I work at my gun club and a lot of people there are 60 and 70 year olds and I do enjoy having a talk with them, not a lot of people my age enjoy going on hunting expeditions.

In average I get along best in the range of 30's to mid 50's.

I try to hang out with people 70 or older and then wait for them to start to become senile. Once that happens, I try to convince them that I am their relative and start causing division with their actual family. I then convince them to let me have power of attorney then I can use the money for various things.
