Would you rather be divorced or widowed?

I know it is a harsh question but I wonder how most people think about this topic. Even strange crazy questions can give us ideas how we think about long term relationships. Because divorce is common but a very energy consuming event. But so is being widowed. Losing a beloved one is terrible. Which pain would you prefer if you had to choose?

ROFLMAO Well when I was married the first time I was wishing I was either divorced or widowed. I ended up divorced. My second marriage when I was 60, well after I found out she changed from the woman I thought she was, I am considering the widow aspect... LOL But I am to old at 70 to break in a new woman so guess I am stuck with her till I die, which will probably be me dying first since I am getting to the point I need to start cramming for my finals.

Would be nice to say neither but in reality I voted widowed because most divorces don't end amicably. They also usually leave a lot of pain, negative feelings and energy.

I don’t know exactly if I qualify as a widow, but my boyfriend of 5 years passed away a year ag.

In my experience, I would rather be widowed because it’s not like that person chose to leave you.
