Girls, Affair regret?

If you've had an affair, and are no longer are having that affair, what do you regret most?
Specifically?

I regret that I wasn’t honest about it. I was unhappy in my relationship and instead of breaking it off which I should have done…. it’s easier to lie so you don’t hurt anyone’s feelings.

Until the lie is exposed and you hurt them even worse than if you would of just broken it off first

I regret the time and energy (mainly energy) taken away from my family. Only being half there, even when physically present.
