I'm not talking about someone who plays/watches them on occasion but regularly.
Have people forgotten video games and cartoons are for kids?

Thank you for having the balls to call it how it is on this website. This place is full of gaming and hentai anime obsessed virgins who gripe about how women never want a "nice" guy. Yeah. Nice guy isn't some beady eyed fartknocker watching anime on their bean bag, snacking on doritos while complaining to the world about their lacking sexual life...
i dont feel like the games and animations are the problem, a person can get obssesed with all kinds of stuff when the one thing they want to do is escape reality. you can be a full grown adult and watch anime and play games and the opposite be irrespionsible adult who plays games and play the victim
You know I make adult video games. Ones definitely not for children! Please cum play at https:\\*********.**** lol..

No one I know really plays video games or watches cartoons to the point where it affects their lives negatively. But quite a few *do* play video games on a fairly regular basis. Including those with wives and husbands (yes, I know some girl gamers).
Not all cartoons are for kids. The first Lord of the Rings. Yes, there was an animated Lord of the Rings made in the 70s by Ralph Bakshi. Cool World, also by Bakshi. Grave of the Fireflies (one of my favorite movies of all times). The Wind also Rises, which my friend is forever urging me to see. Barefoot Gen. When the Wind Blows, Heavy Metal. All of these are not for kids.
Your last remark betrays that you believe that they don't have social lives *because* they engage in these activities... a lot. That's a very good possibility. However, to me it seems equally likely they engage in these activities because they have no social life. Put simply, it's possible they are lonely because they engage too much in these activities, but it's equally plausible that they engage in these activities *because they are lonely*.
Whilst there are many cartoons aimed at children, I'm sure you wouldn't want to show them things like Archer or other adult themed cartoons.
Not all live action TV shows are aimed at adults, I'm sure Barney would be classed as a kids show.
Personally I'd rather watch Star Trek: Lower Decks than Married At First Sight (Australia Edition) but my mate refuses to watch cartoons so she is the other way around. There is no accounting for taste :)
Such a sweeping generalisation may be mostly true but not 100% in every case.
As for video games, would a mathematically advanced management game suit kids (you said kids, I'm assuming preteen)? Games rated 18 are specifically not for kids (even though they can get them). Simulations like Kerbals or massive trading games like Elite Dangerous may be accessible to kids but the value really comes when you are old enough to understand engineering or market forces.
TL:DR No, games and cartoons are generally aimed at kids but there is a sector out there for games and cartoons aimed at adults.
Hey hey hey.. shots fired!!!
I make enough money and work my ass off for it. I also enjoy playing video games and watching cartoons too. I promise you, there are many cartoons and video games I would not ever, responsibly, let a child play. If I'm being honest, the demographics that game developers tend to target are between 20 - 40 years of age. I've been playing video games since the 80's and arcades were a thing, I see no reason to stop. I also workout and have a social life, though admittedly, I'm not a fan of people and their politics lately. For a hobby, I'm a woodworker and I often sail in my sailboat.
There hasn't been anything interesting on TV since MTV started showing reality shows anyway.
But I think what you might have wanted to mean people that waste away doing nothing but watch cartoons and play video games. This I can agree with.
As an adult I find it hard to even find time to watch tv, let alone cartoons. I do make time for football, hockey once a week at max and the occasional fight night. I do like video games but I’ve got no time for that stuff. I’ve got a family to raise and provide for, a house to upkeep and make additions for, all the other chores and errands everyone else has a job, try to squeeze in a few work outs during the week, study my Bible and go to church. I’m way busy all the time. I’d much rather hunt or go fishing or camping or hiking. I also am a part owner of a business on the side. Who the hell as a adult has time for video games and cartoons on the daily? If someone does either they’re independently wealthy or probably not going anywhere in life. I don’t think I stop moving at any point in the day except Sundays. Periodically I’ll take a 10 min break or so and get on here. And that’s about all I’ve got time for.
As I see it that’s how an adult should be. It comes out of my life philosophy.
Simply observing life will tell you that things don’t go from disorder to order. If I bought a house and made everything in it in pristine condition and perfect repair and then let it sit and no one entered it for 50 years, the house would be thrashed inside and out without a single person having ever touched it. Since this is the nature of life and for certain you can expect problems in life, how then does anyone expect to thrive by taking excessive leisure time? You have to work very hard to maintain everything you have, your possessions, relationships…literally everything and if you want to do better you must maintain those as you move forward. No one knows what life will bring. Preparing for the future is wise.
So given all this, how is it anyone has time with all of life’s responsibilities to sit on their ass 6-8 hours a day only doing the barest minimum of responsibilities. No one as I see it.
These younger generations see things differently and it’s why they struggle and suck at everything. They’re narcissistic and want instant gratification. They’re lazy and complacent. To an extent I believe life is survival of the fittest if God is taken out of the equation. Given this is so and life is hard, it’s best to prepare for war in times of peace. It’s best to live self disciplined.
These are the same people who lack when difficult times come because they spent their money and time on things that instantly gratify, and want bail outs for lack of prudence.
I don’t think it’s my job to necessarily tell people how to live their lives, but as I see it, no one has the time to overindulge in such things.
I’m definitely conservative politically. I just see this as a common sense view to have. Basically we’re all responsible for ourselves. No one else. So…. don’t screw yourself. Handle your business, don’t let your business handle you. Be disciplined. Be responsible.
Adult Swim is an American adult-oriented nighttime programming block of the basic cable network Cartoon Network that is programmed by its in-house production studio, Williams Street. Marketed as a separate network for ratings purposes, Adult Swim broadcasts from 9 p. m. to 6 a. m. ET/PT.
It shows or has shown cartoons such as Mr Pickles, The Shivering Truth, Superjail that are not for kids. A lot of video games are geared towards adults. Not all adults who play video games and or watches cartoons lack a healthy social life.
I have seen people paying more attention to their phone than the person or people they are out with. Other hobbies have the potential to take away a persons social life as well.
What is your point with this question.
I agree, Only because I am not much of a tv person or a gamer , don’t get me wrong I have played video games and I do watch tv on occasion but I can’t do it for long I feel there are more productive things to be accomplished than wasting my whole day away in front of a tv , when I was a kid/ teenager I did enjoy video games more and movies but as I got older I realized it really isn’t my thing , I rather be outside getting my hands into something
Thank you 😋 I forgot to add cell phones as well , I can only play on my phone for a short period of time as well , I mainly only go on my phone when I am having coffee or taking a break , but when I have friends over , I don’t touch my phone unless it rings or I get a text , but I know people that are obsessed and can’t put their phones down or the video game controllers lol
Video games are more for adults, that is why games maturity matured over the years as my generation grew older.
Nothing wrong with having good clean fun instead of doing what many "adults" do and get wasted/drunk, treat their family like crap, cheat, lose their job, go to jail, etc. Those are "adult" things and the people that do them are pathetic.
well i mean, there are lots of video games and anime that are definitely NOT for children lmao. also there's nothing wrong with doing those things regularly as long as ur also functioning a normal human life, being healthy, making money, and are happy
Who says? The cartoons I like (Warner Brothers, Fleischer Brothers, Hanna-Barbera, etc, from the `30's up to the mid `60''s) were obviously made for adults and those that made them have even said they never had kids in mind when making them! A lot of the ones that WERE made for kids (Disney) had a lot more porn in them than ANY that were made for adults but still, basically, G rated.
Most video games I've ever seen were played by adults or older teens.
Nothing wrong with watching cartoons once in a while! All work and no play makes jack a dull boy!
I don't think Family Guy and South Park are for kids. Neither is Grand Theft Auto, The Witcher 3 with it's softcore porn scenes, and too many others to name. Go to ComicCon when/if it becomes live again and you will see the demographics aren't what you say.
So I had older brothers growing up who you used to hog the computer/video games and wouldn't let there little brother (me) play them, so I spent my youth playing sport and being outside. I wouldn't swap it for the world though, now I'm older I'm in far better shape than my brothers... but very ignorant when it comes to video game discussions lol
Your lack of understanding about other peoples wishes/dreams in life and etc just shows how limited your own world view is. Expecting everybody to live a certain way, your way.
Go out and travel more, talk to different people and groups. The problem is with you😗
I think she's just frustrated that the major options for men are gamers and anime fans. Sure an occasional game is fine, but thats all a lot of guys do these days. No other redeaming qualities other than xbox or playstation. Hell I know several guys who dont have a drivers license... Not exactly outstanding. And its funny you'd tell the poster to get out more while defending people who are the antonym of "getting out"
People live how they like, not to please some random women or men.
"Oh shit, i must go out today or mobiusforniner wouldn't find me and my life choices outstanding"
I get it that women want to date up, not down.
But that is their problem, womens problem. Can't find dudes that fit your criteria, look a little harder then.
These people don't owe you anything, i know plenty of dudes with no drivers license, many of them have multiple rental properties and could easily afford it. They chose not to, so they wouldn't waste money on cars and could better finance their real estate ventures.
Some live to game, some live in camper vans to go from one climbing spot to the next.
They live how they want, who gives a fuck what other randos think, from their moral highgrounds😅
Sure, I agree, but that also means these same guys can't complain when women dont find this chosen lifestyle attractive.
@mobiusforniner thank you
The question wasn't do most women find it attractive, It was about it's only for kids. And that's clearly BS.
Women are certainly right to have their own preferences and they do.
But that was not the meat of the question, making it a form of evasion 😗
Just to add, the question is not just about guys, but both genders. Making the the evasion even more clear.
Not 100%, but I agree. I work 60+ hours a week and I have land and animals that don’t take care of themselves. That’s my choice. It keeps me busy and I love the reward for the hard work that I put in. Not only will there always be somebody at both extremes. There will also be people at every other level in between. Nobody is 100% right and nobody is 100% wrong just because we don’t agree with them.
An antiquated perspective.
People can watch dumb TV shows and movies, and read garbage books or media, or drink and dance for fun, but games and cartoons are for kids? Please. Obviously ridiculous. People like things different than what you.
... than what you like.
That's the thing with hobbies, they don't need to produce value. You're allowed to do things just because you enjoy it, just do what makes you happy. Of course I try to be productive normally, but in my free time I enjoy playing video games with friends, which I do pretty regularly. I don't see the issue in that
I do "adult things" and play video games on a regular basis. The fact is society's concept of what is or isn't adult changes just as we do. Maybe what you want is to go back to when your daddy was a "manly-man" with all the testosterone filled narcissism. Or maybe your boyfriend is ignoring you for some video games? Either way, dont get mad at a persons choice of how they spend their free time.
What exactly is adult things anyway?
I have enough friends and plenty of guys who have been interested in me.
I mean, it's people's lives if they aren't doing anything wrong then what's the problem?
Video games used to be for kids but now those kids have grown up and play them with their own kids. Adult cartoons like Bobs Burgers are fun.
... I beg to differ. Instead, I think people realized those are not only for children.
Yeah but that can't be true in every case. Moderation in everything, you know.
Yeah I agree grown adults should do more things with their lives, some things such as video games and cartoons is what causes relationships to end
Yes sir
@WowwGirl 👼🙏
😀..
i work i dont i do play video games some times
ni have no social skills because i hate people
or love interest in my life because i dont try i'm happy bymyself
i was just saying it because video games have noting to do with not being able to date or find
Like i tell people all the time don't worry about what other people might think life is too short for that
It literally isn't though. I'm a game developer, our target audience in the overwhelming majority isn't kids. We don't often make games targeted towards kids. That's like saying porn is for kids and adults should have found someone to actually fuck.
I don't think grand theft Auto, the last of us, resident evil are for kids.
They have the game ratings for all reason.
And i wouldn't let any kids watch happy tree friends or ninja scroll. Just saying.
But watching TV or messing around online is so much more mature and cultured right?
MM it's fun to play and you be surprise on how many people who do play video games have a social life. Just cause their for kids doesn't mean adults can't play them even if its regularly.

Over 9000 hours in MS Paint.
What about anime? A big chunk of that is NOT for kids. And vy "bigger, better things to do", you mean...
I mean, some anime has erotic/sexual and gory content. And job wise, my hope is to become a content creator on YouTube, although I am doing job training right now. But in the long term, I hope that I can do YouTube professionally.
And that is pretty much gonna require me to put human interaction on the back burner. I'm an introvert anyway, so that doesn't mean shit.
uuuuuh they're not actually. video games are the greatest artform of mankind; combining all other art forms into one.
i think you're the child here. you have a superficial understanding of adulthood.
adulthood isn't what you like.
haha!!! Well, I am doing both right now. Watching Christmas Cartoons and playing Cities Skylines.
Well summer for kids summer for adults. The problem is that the kids like to play with ones that are for adults.
based

Video games and cartoons are for adults two not just for kids. 💞
I haven't played video games in over a decade
lol you just roasted me.
I agree its uncommon. Anyways I guess you could see anything like that then. Like what's the point of having any hobby if you can't make money out of it? I see video games like any other hobby although certain hobbies can help you get in better shape but besides that I don't see any harm in it. Although you might have a point about how a hobby such as video games might make you less social. Then again I'd also say the use of social media has made people more antisocial as well. Some people are just naturally not social due to their personality.
Yeah, just like popular movies being written mostly for children. And “indie” movies make no money.
No they ain't
What do you mean, it can be a career
They’ve helped me with mine
Or a Cheese Girl using Cheese Sticks as a dyldo
That's a matter of opinion
Agreed!!!
I'm a kid
