I lost my girlfriend due to my physically violent ways. I was also verbally destroying her as well. She forgave me so many times. She never even reported me to the cops despite all the evidence she has/had against. She’s given me chance after chance and I can admit I ruined it each time. This time, it seems she’s done/gone for good. She left a month ago and I haven’t heard from her since. She had me blocked on everything and she changed her number. She recently unblocked me on social media and I thought that meant she forgave me but she never reached out after unblocking me so I took it into my own hands to make it right one last time. I messaged her and told her I would book her a flight, I would take her out and that I understand we have been through a lot as a couple but I just want another chance. It’s been two days and I know she read it but she hasn’t responded. I shot her another message asking her to at least think about doing the things I messaged her about doing and once again she read it, but no response. I suppose I deserve it.

You haven’t proven to her that you have changes. A simple text of asking her to rekindle things isn’t that easy for an abuse victim. They tore themselves apart to continue to be with you, and she was at her last straw when she left. You need to go to therapy, anger management, and prove to her that there was a change. It’s not easy to forgive someone for this. She knows she deserves better and she knows it will hurt her and make her look like a fool if she goes back to you.
Either way, work on yourself and improve your life, let her go.

She realized her self worth is more than an abusive man. She deserves better and I think you personally need to think about yourself and get the help you need for your anger issues. She doesn’t deserve to be put through that.
