@Gwenhwyfar We have been living together since the end of July. I got her a job working in a clerical position at my firm, but I rarely have a business reason to interact with her at work. Still, we spend a great deal of time together.

I am coming to appreciate the cultural differences in how people approach relationships. She uses humor to deflect conflict and she is rarely willing to have serious discussions, but her behavior reflects a very deep love for me. Extravagant gift giving is not in her repertoire. Of course, her appreciation for the holidays and traditions is quite disparate from mine, and we are working on compromises that accomodate both of us.

She has come to know my flaws and weaknesses and she is still here, still loving me. We are not wanting to rush forward with marriage and we are both happy simply living together. I suspect that marriage will happen eventually but I am not planning it.

So. . . we are doing well. We have experienced some conflicts and resolved them so we have passed the tests thus far.
