Dates cost money,
Then there's living costs,
And can't forget having a child cost money aswell if the couple wants a child or even if the didn't plan to have one,
Then you gotta have enough money on personal stuff for yourself.

For that you don’t need to be loaded. There are ways around doing things with little money. You just need to be creative and crafty!

I'd say have a little money so you can pay your own way at the beginning for the first couple dates and to occasionally pay his way just to show that you aren't using him for handouts/free meals and that if in the future you two needed money for your family that you are willing to work.

For me I would like the girl to pay her own way at least the first couple dates, then pay for me occasionally to show that she is willing top contribute.
If I mostly pay after that I am fine with it as long as I know that if I got out of work at some point, or there was some temporary expense that she would be willing to work and contribute/be supportive when needed.

In the beginning its not everything but it helps to have some money. If you want to be serious then Id suggest having money but you might meet someone who is more than willing to take care of you and allow you to be a stay at home wife. May be unlikely but theirs always the chance.

Nothing is truly 50/50, but it's amazing you're even considering the cost of relationships. Most females just feel entitled to be provided for and don't take that into consideration.

You'd be surprised how much is available at little to no cost. It is possible to have an amazing relationship without putting importance on how much things cost. Generally, newspapers publish a weekly listing of all the activities going on in the county over the weekend. Read through the list and suggest enjoyable activities that won't break the budget. Show your partner you savor the subtleties rather than always needing extremes, along with the newest and greatest. The more people focus on extremes, the less likely they'll be happy and satisfied with anything. Relationships are about making the most of what exists, not fantasizing about what could or should exist. Just focus on being appreciative of what you have while enjoying and loving your partner.

I believe anyone can be in a relationship with someone without worrying about money. Being in a relationship with someone doesn't necessarily mean living with them. We forget sometimes that our lives are separate. I have never cared about how little or how much a girl makes. There aren't many women the same mentality when it comes to men though.

Yes, everything costs money. But if you want to be in a relationship with someone, you could be 2 bums on the street and in 2 entirely different locations and make it work if you really wanted to. Beg for money and use the money earned to take commute to each other.

Or another example... if you live with your parents and are trying to figure out your lives and are motivated to start something together, then you could occasionally see each other when you got opportunities and communicate online during the times you aren't together.

True love knows no boundaries. People who quit on someone because of their financial situation are just making excuses, unless that person has zero motivation to move up in life. In that case I understand. No one wants to be a bum or live with their parents forever to my knowledge.
