Not if the kid was living with her. I don't care for kids that much in the first place. She would naturally be more loyal to her kid than to me. And I wouldn't want to be financially responsible for the kid or to have to deal with kid drama, school, illnesses, etc.

That being said, I did have one girlfriend who was nearing the end of divorce proceedings and had three younger kids with her part time. That relationship was a huge mistake, not just because of the kids.

But there was one particular girlfriend who I virtually lived with for over and year. She loved me and I wound up loving her with my heart and soul. She was going on 31 years old when I was 37. She had been sexually abused by her step father for years, beginning at a very young age. She got married when she was 16 or 17 and had a son. She got divorced a few years later. The son lived with his father out of state. The girl had been an alcoholic but kicked that. She also spent years in therapy and was still doing that when we were together.
But by the time I met her, she was a remarkable woman. I can't say enough about her. Her son was in his early teens and came out to visit a couple of times. It didn't bother me at all that she had a kid.
