Guys, how would/do you handle your partner on their period? Girls, how would you want your partner/how does your partner handle you on your period? *Question popped up with my boyfriend and talks with friends, it influenced me to ask this.* My partner treats me great. He’s sweet and understanding when it comes to my hormones being wack, he gives me chocolates, and takes care of me. I never expected him to, but it was a sweet surprise to see him do this.
I remember talking with an old friend, and she said her ex boyfriend wouldn’t even touch her with a 50ft pole when she was on her period. He thought it was gross and annoying. Obviously, some guys have different opinions on how to treat their partners when they’re on their period. It made me curious as to how some guys handle their partner on their period.
How would/do you handle your partner on their period?
I used to not mind sex on periods and still don't. Just put a towel underneath! But my wife became a bit more self-conscious about it and doesn't like it anymore. She seemed to like it in our early phase but she got pickier about it.
Now she puts this thing on that heats her lower belly when she has that time of the month and I've learned to make foods when it's my turn to cook that seems to help her with that. Also, I get Ibuprofen all the time (both of us benefit from it but I tend to get myself injured a lot more) and I offer and make sure she's feeling fine. Also if she seems to have a bit of soreness in her tummy, I offer to make her coffee or breakfast when she's in bed.

But I have no slightest idea of what it's like to be bleeding out of an orifice besides my nose (and at least then I have to hit it really hard), so I go hardcore gentleman there just assuming the very worst. Like she has to go through a nightmare and that's how I treat her as someone going through a nightmare.
Here is a picture of my biceps right after I curled a bunch of weights to compensate for all the potential hits to my masculinity I took with my post: ... I'm macho man in my mind! But my idea of macho man uses soft voice and makes breakfast for his wife when she has her period. I use my big biceps to lift pan and make scrambled eggs, toast, bacon, and coffee. Or salmon, white rice, and miso soup depending on her mood. She's my damsel in distress.
When she's in the bedroom you tiptoed to the door you open it very quietly you walk out you close it very quietly and then you run like hell jumping your vehicle start it up and go go go go go LOL
No no matter what I've ever done is always try to make the pain go away tickle or back rubber legs or stomach or back he just the best thing was just going to be there for them and understand what's happening and that you're probably going to get pissed at for doing something but you just got to let it go
Alright, the second part of my opinion will be creepy. You have bein warned!
He usually take care of me, massages, hugs, kisses, soft-spoken words. Even helps me change. He is not disgusted. He also satisfies me, with hand, so I orgasm during my period. Sometimes, albeit rarely - sex in the shower.
But when the cramps and pains are the worst, he is... Fascinated! He observes me, my pain, my suffering. Keeps his hand on me, and says he feels me contract from the pain. Places his hand on my lower belly and as if... I don't know, he somehow absorbs or feeds on my pain. As if he... Studies me. Its really weird.
I don’t usually have cramps or mood swings while being on my period,
I am moodier during the other days of cycle and usually feel happier on my period or before ovulation.
Still don’t understand why, because most women are the other way around.
So, he doesn’t need to do anything special to make me feel happy, other than be intimate with me, because I feel lucky every time my boyfriend initiates love-making while I am on my period, knowing that sadly most guys feel grossed out of periods. it makes me feel happy to see my boyfriend still finds me attractive.
I'd never expect my husband to "handle" me any differently. Best thing for him to do is treat me normal cause there shouldn't be any added attention on me just cause I'm on my period.
Who cares about her period. If she’s feeling bad I try and do nice things to make her feel better. Just as if I got the man flu or something Ide like her to make me a priority. Everyone wants to be babied while their not at their best. That being said expecting something special says something about you. You shouldn’t expect better then the best they can do and you should want to not be a burden.
They will notice your suffering and react in their own way. Gonna feel better then if you expect it and then they fail to meet them expectations…
my husband is surprisingly understanding and caring when I hit my monthlies. normally I am ok and can handle them on my own but he does this one thing I have come to really like. When I am on and cramping any time we are snuggling on the sofa or going to sleep he rubs my belly or lower back. I have never asked him or told him were to rub and I don't know if it is just mental comfort or he is putting his hands in the right place but I instantly feel much better. he just takes the initiative, it like he senses I am hurting and does it. :)
I had an experience that totally changed my perspective on periods when my girl at the time told me that she felt it coming while we were out and we rushed to a cvs, I got her pads (which was confusing to do properly) and I ran out to her.
She got up to put it in and there was a little blood on my tan leather seat in my car so I couldn't help being a little pissed. But that was when I realised what a burden it really is to just randomly start leaking blood out your ass in your boyfriends car.
I told her it was alright and now I kind of just give the woman her space, I try to pay attention to what she likes while she's on one. And when you're understanding and compassionate, it makes them want to have a lot of sex with you 😂
I don’t treat them very much differently. I still give my girlfriend the same love and attention as I usually do.
The only difference is that I remind myself to stay patient and understanding if there are negative mood swings. If she happens to lash out and say or do something that hurts, I love her through that—I stay patient, because I know she eventually will come around.
Afterward, she always apologizes if she lashed out and thanks me for being patient with her. I understand that what she needs is love and stability, so I do that for her, and I take any harshness with a grain of salt.

I don't think of my girlfriend's periods as anything I have to "handle" in any particular way. That's because I have a very healthy attitude about periods and don't think they're gross. I certainly don't treat my girlfriend as if she has a disability when she's on her period. They're a normal part of a girl's life and not anything to be squeamish about.
I would like for him to just leave me be tbh. I dont want to be in the same room as him for that whole week. He can call or text. He can sit on the opposite side of the door and talk to me. But i dont want to be touched while on my period. I feel gross and icky and i just want my heating pad, tylenol, and sleep. Plus, If he can't go a week without sex, then he isn't the man for me. I feel the only times its okay to withhold sex is if im extremely pissed, sick or my period is on

I would say take extra care for her, say nice things, try to take her mind of it (or show you that you remember and care - it depeneds on an individual, so you have to check first which one is better), and cuddle. Cuddling would be nice
My ex boyfriend I dated for nearly 4 years was good about it. He has 2 sisters so I don't think it ever bothered him. He'd bring Mr food I liked, always keep a variety of pads and tampons in his room for me, never judged or shamed me. Would run me a nice shower, make me cups of tea, offer painkillers. Simple, kind gestures and understanding. That's what is important.
I feel like I would just let them know that I'll be a bit emotional for a week. Just so they know they'll have to deal with me. Lmao. The only thing I would say just sorry dude no sex for a week. Its uncomfy bro. Anyways I don't ask for much just know I'm hurting
I'd probably just be straight to the point and ask what I can do to help her find comfort for whatever period of time her period lasts for. Also make it clear I know that anything mean she says is probably just the hormones messing with her and that I'll stick with her through it all. The only thing I'd say probably no to is using my body as a pain squeeze toy. She can have arm or hand XD.
I really don't joke with her on her period, which is hard for me as I'm always the guy with the jokes. I also always make sure she knows I am there if she needed any help. Which usually ends with she asking for some emotional support (my specialty) and some chocolates. Girls can get way too mad while on their period so I'm sure my emotional support is why I'm not dumped by now lol
Currently i am single but i used to everything for my ex be it readying hot water bottle, getting any food for her craving, keeping her positive with her mood swings, trying to divert her mind by watching movies she liked, i was up for anything she wanted me to do

Every woman is different, especially during the four days before she begins to bleed. I have been with women who hardly experienced PMT, to one who turned into an axe murderer. Some women think that menstrual blood is somehow dirty, to others whose sex drive went up to nymphomaniac during their period. Put a thick towel under her hips and form an orderly queue. 🤣
I had a boyfriend who I went to his house and my period started right after I got there. It was early so I hadn't packed anything. He ran to the store got me all I needed. Midol, pads, chocolate, chips. Came back and just cuddled and helped me through the first couple days before I went back home and it was the sweetest thing. Now I don't get my period. But my fiance now has gotten me tampons and anything I needed when I was getting my period with him
Every woman I've ever truly got along well with for any decent length of time, had periods so mild, that they didn't have pain or get cramps or become emotionally stressed. They had slight spotting, and that was it, and it didn't last very long.
So I'm actually not sure what I'd do, as I've not experienced that situation before.
My ex-wife and I often had period sex. It was very enjoyable for both of us. During her period, she had high hormones, and the blood is a great lubricant. We made sure we always had two layers of towels under us so we didn't stain the sheets, and cleaned up with a wet washcloth immediately after.

Cooked foods many times, give flowers, massaged, bought medicines at night/in an emergency, helped with missed out lectures even if my subject is different and we were at university, and more I guess. But she left me for an older guy with more money, cars, who can take her to expensive restaurants, car rides which being a student I couldn't afford. I have learned lessons as a guy the only important stuff is earning money, other stuff is useless. Girls will go crazy for you and do everything if you have money.
I'm single but if I had a boyfriend I would like him to be patient with me. To give me ice cream or chocolate, keep me company. Perhaps watch a movie together, he could also make me laugh and distract me from the pain and/or discomfort.

it really depends on how she acts. if she uses it as an excuse to act grumpy i try to keep my distance but if she just doesn’t feel great but wants attention i’ll hang out with her.
The period is gross and annoying but it's a natural part of the female, as are the hormones. Some females, however, might use this... period... as an excuse to treat the men in their lives shamefully and not take responsibility for themselves. If I ever encountered such a female, I would abandon her, because what is wrong with her is not just her period.
During her periods, I just wanted to be her pillow and I want to listen to her, understand what she is going through, and run on the internet for food or snacks which can give her even a little relief.
This happens when I am not doing a job. If I am part-time, the morning time would be hers.
I go to the store I grab two king size Reese's. I enter the house, hold them up, set them down and walk ever so slowly backwards, making sure to not make eye contact 😥😥
oh my God the chocolate cravings are so intense. i even somehow managed to eat an entire cake by myself during my period once. shit. to balance my calories, i didn't eat anything for the rest of the day.
I treat her like a goddess all the time. Therefore I don't treat her differently during her period. It happens. I can't control it, and I also can't control when we're together, so not touching her on her period would mean I may not be able to touch her for a substantial amount of time that we're together.
I don't need to be handled when I'm on my period. I need my husband to be understanding that I can be in a lot of pain and be out touched - meaning I need space and heat pads mixed with pain killers.
I'm currently single. But typically heating pad, blanket, coco, chocolate or ice cream (depending on what she prefers, optionally coco with melted chocolate with whole hazle nuts in it, cinnamon and ice cream on top) and Netflix or music book.
I never treated my exes any differently on their period as opposed to off to be honest. I even had sex the same way. If they asked me to do something for them because they were on their period, I'd probably do it as long as it's within reason.
I try to help my wife be comfortable, but she's tough, so it doesn't usually require much. Some cycles are better than others and I'm not at all grossed out by it. It's a natural process and if it didn't exist, I wouldn't be here.
I would want them to just be understanding. Everyone is different. For me, some days I’m in pain or just feel bedridden. Please don’t make me feel bad for either.
If I had a girlfriend on her menstrual cycle I would get her Chocolate, hot tea, pizza or take out an ice pack or hot water bottle for her cramps and back massage for any back pains yes having a girlfriend for me is to treat her like a queen
Tear it in half, banks will exchange it if there's more than half so tear at an angle. Take one half to one bank and the other to another branch to double your money.
he would probably know… I’m weird on my period so he just needs to figure out how to handle it cause I can’t really think of any specific way I’d want him to handle me. he HAS to be understanding tho… that’s a dealbreaker for me otherwise
My periods are excruciating. Since being on birth control they’ve gotten so much better. All I want is a heating pad , a blanket, and a bottle of water. I would prefer to be left alone after that. I don’t want much to eat. Maybe some soup.
I sometimes make a run for ibuprofen or tampons or some food for her, but most of the time she doesn't need anything and doesn't ask for help. Just prefers to get through it privately if she can.
Not much he can do but stay out of my way for a couple days. 😂

Not during my cycle but the week before is super intense in every respect. I think I would prefer space sometimes because I really am in a bad mood during pms as what I've observed so that it doesn't backlash on him. That would be unfair to him.
I try to agree with everything she says, do stuff she likes doing, and show support for her even when she's wrong about things, one thing I can't handle is disrespect or being rude
Do what I can to make it easier on them. Cook for them, cuddle, give massages, run errands, etc. Unless they are being bitchy, then I'd give them some space.
If theyre feeling really shit as a result then I'd want to spend the day with them in bed, get them ice cream, chocolate etc. Whatever they need that helps them get through it and try to make sure she's as comfortable as she can be 🤷♂️
If you date women, you can't act surprise when they have their periods.
Lesbians never have a problem. Str8 men should learn from them.

Unpopular opinion but some women have much higher libido when having period, and they want to get pleased 'cause mastrubation can cause bruising on your fingers lol. Plus mastrubation or sexual pleasure can reduce pain
