Why he holds our child and smile at me and look and stare at me then look away he just seem so far away like he thinking about something else , why would he say our child good thing for us

That's the behavior of someone who is still in love with you. The child is the hope for him that maybe in the future you could change your mind and come back to him. When he sees the kid, he thinks about you. It's kinda goofy, but a good part of men are family-oriented and want a happy and stable life with someone they see fit, even if it's somehow impossible.
