Is it worth to believe in love these days?

MY FRIEND 24, is going through a divorce recently after marrying at 18 and i am beginning to wonder if true love exists and long lasting relationship and marriage exists anymore. I am shocked cause i really thought it'd work and they seemed genuinely in love, they share 2 kids together but he turned psychotic and almost abused her family... i am scared to fall in love and get in a relationship sometimes cause I've had a lot of bad relationships too where i got cheated on and emotionally abused. I've been single for a little over a year and have been focusing on myself.

I am 23, single no kids but id love to have children one day with the right person not in a rushed time but i suppose also not later in life.

It's great you aren't rushing and are willing to focus on yourself. Young relationships are more a roll of the dice than older ones, as you have no idea what signs to look for or how to handle it when you see it. That's not saying older people bother to open their eyes and see what actually exists, either. The main reason relationships fail is too many people are too self-focused to be healthy partners. A relationship is not about what a person is entitled to receive, but how we can add to our relationship. When two people prioritize making sure both always feel safe, secure and special, and they do their best to nurture their relationship to keep it new and alive, what you end up with is worth cherishing. Top it off with effective communication, and you have perfection. Unfortunately, most people believe they're already qualified when it comes to communication, so few actually reach out to be taught the basic skills.

Love still exists but the thing is that it is hard to find these days as world is becoming fake day by day

Both partners have to compromise and make things work out...
Marriages go bad when they start to ignore small things and because of that the small things become big...
Mostly they ignore happening at the moment and then things escalate to become hectic

Yeah i know... sometimes marrying young can impact that as well rather than getting married older but her soon to be ex husband has had mental health problems for while but he refuses to seek help and she had to get a restraining order on him for almost hurting her family.

For me in my case I'm aware of the dangers of marrying young I got admittedly its cheesey but its what my girlfriend and wanted which is some fancy promise rings that we are comfortable wearing wedding ring styled till we really choose to tie the knot. We know we want to end up together but also know now isn't the time. I'd say love does exist but you need to be mature about it. OwO hehe~
