I accidentally told him I want to marry him?

We've been going out for six months. I'm 19 and he's 32.

I think I just told my him I want to marry him. I didn't want it to be like that. I do want to marry him but it just feels like I've sucked the romance out of it because he knows the answer!

Basically what I told him I'm saving myself for marriage because I feel I should only be for one man and that it's not that I didn't think he could be that man.

He asked me, "So you want me to be your one and only?"

And I said, "Well, yes" And he got a big grin and said "You want me to marry you"

I laughed and just changed the topic. Does him laughing and telling me what he realized I was saying mean he wants me to marry him too though?

I don't think you should worry about it. I think he knows you love him and it was a cute exchange you both had. Besides, don't put too much worry into the relationship yet. You two have been dating for 6 months. Let your relationship mature more before making those decisions. Just have fun with the relationship and let things happen naturally. Putting too much worry into the relationship could kill the romance. I don't think he thought much of it so I don't think you should worry at all. Have that conversation, maybe open it up to him and say, well what do you see us going in the future. Have a light conversation if you are truly concerned.

But I think that you two are okay. Don't worry about scaring him off, honestly most women want to get married someday and its obvious you want that too. If you are going to marry him, it will happen someday :) So I wouldn't worry too much about it, he didn't get scared off. But if you truly want to know what he thinks just ask him :P

I wouldn't think too much of it. It sounds like a very sweet, warm exchange, but, truth be told, the majority of relationships carry with them periods of intense "in-love" feelings that spur conversations much like these: whimsically romantic forecasts, which may just be as unrealistic as they are affectionate. In short, it's likely he appreciates the sweetness of such and exchange while understanding that there's no binding agreement either of you are making by engaging in this loving and whimsical chats about the future.

Ask him. You have a right to ask for what you want. It's been six months. Don't ever feel guilty for setting boundaries and having standards. If he can't give you want you want, he doesn't deserve you. You are the jewel.

So, tell him you want to to eventually get married. Have "the talk." If he acts shady, he may not be the one. You're 19, what do you have to lose?
