Is it a good thing?

Me and my boyfriend have a crazy story. This is the third time we’ve been together. But the third time is different this time he’s showed people that he has wanted to be with me more he has worn only things I give him, he even told his family about me. He never did any of those things before. But I still feel like he has a close relationship with his ex which is the reason why we have broken up both times. This time he has told his ex who he has a close relationship with that he’s talking to me which he has never done before but I really think she doesn’t care about that. And I know how a girl thinks and obviously she still likes him they have at least been together 20 times. She hugged him but he said it was a hug because he was sad. But when she found out we kissed at the football game she said she had to cut him off but I thought they have already stopped talking. People have told me she’s cried because she still misses him but he told me she said she has another boyfriend. I don’t really know how I feel about the two of them because I’m scared he might do what he did the last two times which is leaving me for her. I dont want to talk to him about it but he’s gonna get mad that I think this.
