So attraction in dating terms, is when you have a positive response that provokes interest or a liking for a another person. It can be a smell, touch or taste or physical response to a single attribute or source of stimuli that give you pleasure. Your are motivated to want to be close to it because it gives you gratification.
Chemistry in a dating terms. is when you do not only react to the physical attraction, but connect with it in a way that provokes a strong emotional response... its when the physical and emotional response come together to form a interpersonal connection with the other person.
Not the same. You can be attracted to someone but have no chemistry. You can also have chemistry with someone and not be attracted to them.
Chemistry is just how you feel around them, you're drawn to them it makes you want to be around them all the time but it isn't necessarily in a romantic way

when chemistry happens, you cannot exactly tell what is it or why is it so much, and it just doesn't seem to fade or slow down, you just feel that sensation of being drawn into each other to no end...
and that's also a difference, with attraction, it can always be one sided... you might be really attracted to someone and that other someone might not even know you exist lol, but chemistry is always about two people really and unmistakably into each other
Chemistry is how well you jive with another individual and how attractive you find them will be completely irrelevant. Although, having great chemistry could make that individual more attractive in your eyes! On the other hand, you could find a photo of a complete stranger attractive having never met them, meaning your chemistry with them is non existent. Hope that explains it well.
People sometimes like to separate them, because they mistake lust for attraction.
However, attraction is something that draws together 2 things, rather like how magnets work. But a person is not going to stick to you just because you think their body is hot.
You have to have mental chemistry to have them stick to you, so chemistry is the synonym for attraction, not lust.
Ok, I asked her. Depending on the strength of the chemistry... it never runs out. Attraction is a lot more superficial and fickle. Chemistry is hard to even explain. We both have sordid pasts. I'm the only guy with whom she ever felt ah electric shock when we touched. She's the only one who ever loved me THROUGH my flaws instead of in spite of my flaws. Still can't explain chemistry. It might even be a spiritual bond but we use a science term because we don't believe in the spiritual...🤷. I can only commit to this, attraction runs out or can be turned off... not chemistry.
Yes, I get you. I do believe in the spiritual and soul cinnections. The soul connection that never runs out is a hard type of relationship that takes a lot of chemistry to keep going.
Maybe it's the soul that keeps it alive and we are just using "chemistry" because we don't understand the soul? Just a theory (a brand new theory, by the way).
Attraction can be temporary. Or just lust. Chemistry can't be temporary, it's a combination of a lot of things. A good chemistry can do wonders for a relationship
There has to be difference. both comes in play at different stages of relationship. Physical attraction can help start relationship and chemistry can keep it going.
