Should we feel free to share our emotions with others that we trust or should we have control and not share negative emotions?

In an attempt to be honest and authentic I will try to communicate how I feel and express my emotions in a conversation. Should I censor what I say and hide them if they are negative? How do you decide what to share?

To clarify I didn’t mean overwhelming with negativity. I meant if I shared one negative emotion or two is that acceptable?
