Do I consider myself a mistress?

I'm chatting a guy who has a girlfriend. We usually talk about general life and our problems. He thanked me that I didn't judge him when he feel vulnerable. Sometimes we call either other.

I feel sorry for this guy coz he don't feel safe talking about his problem to his girlfriend. I even encourage him to talk to her. To the communication thing.

I told my friends about this and they called me a mistress😔 I just want to help someone. I have no intention to steal him 😑

I wouldn't say mistress, i would say you are a confidant, i have a few and to be honest my girlfriend has encouraged me to have friends like that which i can talk too abotu things that i can broach with her

It comes with time and understanding, she is Bi for example so its not uncommon for us to see a girl and say about how attractive she is. I think everyone needs that person who isn't involved directly to talk to about issues, i have a couple (one being a female cousin) who i can talk too and she uses me for the same, i guess being cousins we have that base level of trust and we both in relationships so its like there is no like "unanswered questions" but with other friends yes i can see how partners might get jealous as you can get quite close with these people. I also used to have a lesbian friend which obviously is perfect.

It is easier to talk to a member of the opposite sex for some people, most my friends are girls, infact my "stag do" was dubbed a "slag do" as i went with 4 girls away for the weekend and we dressed up and went out (me in the pic)

At the end of the day though we all human, we all have wants and needs, but its knowing when and where you want to draw lines, everyone has some level of attraction to people and some one would be dishonest to if they had an attractive friend and didn't admit to it! :)

Yeah he could be considered a cheater. If he couldn't stay faithful to his girlfriend. He wouldn't with you. If you still want a casual fling you can and won't be considered a mistress
