Should I save my virginity for the right person?

You might be having a rolling back your eyes moment because I know inevitably life will hit you like a truck and things won't go your way. But is it really possible or is it even worth it to lose my virginity to that 'one'. I'm 17 right now and I want to focus my exams but inevitably what I notice at this age is that you become more interested in girls and sexual relationships. There's this one girl I really like at the moment but the thing I fear most is that relationships don't last. I mean all I see are divorces (my parents) and third party stories I've heard, break-ups and suffering. To be honest, I fear relationships just because of that the pain that will inevitably come. It's somewhat like alcohol you risk short term pleasure for the long term negative. So do you really think it's worth to find the 'right person' or lose your virginity earlier?

All the virgins I went to high school with married before 26 while the ones who slept around were still single in their early to mid 30s. Some are divorced in their 30s after marrying before 25. My cousin is over 44 and not engaged or married.

in my opinion, no. I did that and regret it. There's no such thing as the right person and waiting for marriage just to have sex is a massive paywall that might not be worth it in the end.

Problem with that is, if you wait and lose it to the person you think is right, and then that person disappoints you, it’s going to hit hard.
