Why most men are single nowadays whether by choice or not?

There is definitely plenty of single women as well. I think I'm general it's just more common for younger people not to be married or in a committed relationship. Often I hear "I'm hanging with the girl I'm seeing" as opposed to "I'm hanging with my girlfriend." Relationships have become so casual and I'm not sure why. I don't know if people don't feel like they know what they want, or if there are too many options ( dating apps etc). Another theory of mine is many young adults of this generation grew up in broken families or had divorced parents. That can certainly scew a person's view of relationships and make them more hesitant to get into them out of fear.

Question for you- what sample size is this question based on? Is it a survey of thousands conducted under appropriate research conditions? Or is it you and the two dudes you play xbox with are all single and you've extrapolated the whole population from there?

The numbers of single men and women are relatively similar being that the birth rates of men and women are very close and each relationship takes one of each. Women are more often single though, being that they typically outlive men by several years. Women have more divorced than men though... They don't want to be alone. so they jump in recklessly. None the less the rates are still similar at something like 38% of all adults being single at any given time.

Its relatively the sane as past generations. Most people are single today Because many divorces in our parents generation (mine are gen x), plus younger generations like me are more focused on getting goals/career accomplished before marriage/relationships

Not sure I guess in reality you might think there are more single men cause they a lot of them do want relationships. Girls tho you can't really tell if they're single and a lot of them stay single by choice (maybe?) at least more so than guys. So we automatically think of there being more single guys

I don't think most men are single, but more and more are choosing to be. There are lots of reasons for that.
