What is your definition of class?

For me a classy person is:

1 - Open Minded about culture and people

2 - Avoids impure language or corrupt speech

3 - Never insults or mocks somebody, except to rebuke bad behaviour in an honourable and clean way

4 - Does not quantify people by their material or economic status and properties

5 - Is willing to honour others and does not hog the limelight or does not view successful people as competition

6 - Respects the privacy of their lovers and the reputation of their friends

7 - Has no xenophobic traits or disrespect towards foreign cultures

To me a classy person respects others beliefs. He never puts people down but builds them up. He goes a second mile to assist those that are in need. He does things for others without praise. His chivalrous.

It all comes down to treating others kindly. This can mean intervening when someone is being treated badly by another, or when someone is behaving anti-socially.

Classy to me is being in complete control of yourself and your surroundings. Considering your words carefully before speaking even if it creates pauses in conversation, so avoiding saying things like "ummm". Keeps their judgements to themselves regardless of how justified they may or may not be. Better to act in a calm and calculated fashion rather than to run your mouth or be reactionary. Always practices civil and polite conduct at all times. Given that this is in the relationship topic I'd add that they view their relationship in an objective manner and conduct themselves accordingly. If you've been slacking lately then it's time to make a course correction and then commit to it. If they've been slacking have an honest and calm conversation about the issue. Also never tolerating abuse/disrespect for the sake of being in a relationship.

I like your list of attributes of a classy person, however when I first read the title "What is your definition of class?" this is what first came to mind:

a class is an extensible program-code-template for creating objects, providing initial values for state (member variables) and implementations of behavior (member functions or methods). :-)

Having class means good manners, politeness, pride without arrogance, empathy, humility, an abundance of self-control, high standards or morality, and educated.

Certain ideologies will mark someone as classy or a low-life if appearances are deceiving. For example:

Feminists would never be considered classy since their beliefs degenerate so many aspects of their lives. A racist can be classy, depending on the way he manages his/her affairs when dealing with others (no racial slurs).

You don't need a list of specifics, just a broad generalization like I provided.

My definition of classy is just being respectful and genuine

2013-2016 conor mcgregor is classy af, and he has nothing to do with all of those traits, that isn't what makes someone classy, that's what makes someone nice and empathetic, 2 different concepts, we could get fancy all we want and say it's classy, but it isn't, it's too well dressed mainly dressing up at all times, high standards for yourself and others, eloquent talker, sophisticated, you know the drill, that's classy

Well dressed, confident, well groomed, articulate and well versed vocabulary, smells good (no smoking or excessive alcohol smell), can handle drinks, respectful of others, outward appearance of humility, looks people in the eye and always polite (greeting and exiting).

When I think of classy, I think of sophisticated, well dressed and well groomed healthy person. Maybe in business attire. What you listed seems more like a list of what you expect in a romantic partner.
