How did you cope knowing you would be giving birth and raising a baby alone?

I'm pregnant and I informed the dad but he told me he hates me and Wants nothing to do with me or the baby and he also told me he won't be supporting me. This is not a random guy this is someone I was involved with for 6 years.

For all the single parents out there hoe did you cope knowing you would be raising a baby alone and knowing the dad to be wants nothing to do with the baby

I don't know where you're from but here in the USA then you take him to court and he will be supporting the baby or he'll be in jail

I do plan on taking him to court for child support but where I live no one ever goes to jail for not paying child support and I just remembered he is leaving the country in 2023 a few months after the baby's due date but his family will still be living here so he would definitely be visiting here and there. He doesn't even plan on telling his own parents they are going to be a grandparents even though he knows they have been wanting grandbaby's for years and this baby will potentially be the only child he will ever have and the only grandchild they will ever have as he is an only child and he isn't young

Hate me all you want but why hate the baby and disown your own flesh and blood because of your hatred for me. I didn't cheat on him but he did cheat on me. But he doesn't see he has ever done anything wrong.

So why don't you tell his parents. They may be able to help you monetarily. They may be able to help babysit. You shouldn't deprive your child from seeing their grandparents just because their father is an asshole

His parents are unwell and I worry if I contact them about this his Mum might have a heart attack again. I also worry about him going off at me for contacting them. Right now I am legit on my own with no one and zero support.

More reason to contact his parents. I don't know why she would have a heart attack. She has an adult son that I'm sure she is aware that he has sex. There's always the possibility of getting someone pregnant. Trust me she can handle it and like I said she will want to know her grandchild and maybe she can guilt her son into sending you some support

She has health issues and her health in general hasn't been the best. She was basically bed ridden a few weeks ago due to her health. I do know one thing he is very very protective of his parents

She's not going to have a heart attack finding out that her son knocked up somebody. I can guarantee you she would be heartbroken to find out that no one told her

That's how I feel and I said that him. He himself knows he is going to regret not being apart of his baby's life he said that himself but he is so consumed with hate for me that his willing to disown the baby and stop his own parents from knowing about the baby.

If you don't get the guts to tell his parents you're as guilty as he is. Depriving your child from getting to see its grandparents. I apologize for putting a guilt trip on you but they need to know

I can and I do tend to be good with people. It was just him I was a horrible person too. I think only America spells it Mom, as most of the rest of the world inclduing Australia and New Zealand spell it Mum but I appreciate you taking the time to spell the the different ways and I do appreciate you taking time to offer some advice. I'm in Australia, but we spell things the exact same way they do in England. Thank you. I don't think it has fully sunk in that I am pregnant and I am going to be a mum, but I have bought a couple of baby clothes, but buying baby clothes is a bit hard right now as I don't know the sex of the baby as it is too early to tell and stores at the moment are mostly only selling pink and blue clothes, hardly any neutral coloured clothing
