Dudes like that sound super insecure. They’re not worth the air they breathe let alone the time you spend on them. Their insecurity is their Hangup not yours
It's manipulation, the more they can make you feel bad about yourself the more you feel you need them. They are fucking creepy if you ask me.

It's because they're insecure and feel like if the girl is too confident, then she will leave or treat him like shit cuz she knows she could do better. So they try to lower their self confidence.
It's just a classic way of manipulating... Crushing your confidence ( and making up for it later ) so that they always have the upper hand... I know a lot of guys do it... Why? Cuz they're insecure as f*ck
They also do it to keep you on your toes and always seeking validation from them and therefore always trying to please them because you don't feel good enough..
Let's stop there. Those are the men you women choose. I don't know men who make such efforts. I don't even do such things.

My ex did that… I am much more aware now of what to look for in a person. I think it is because they are insecure because they now they can’t compete with you. But please run if they start to do that because it only gets worse.
That's a tactic used to manipulate women into sticking around and thinking they are with a good catch instead of a shit bag. Women who fall for these type of bastards should learn how to find a good guy and not look for superficial qualities first like looks, money, status, and other bullshit like that.
