It's a little off putting when some of my friends want their boyfriends to lose the sight of female friends, delete Facebook, delete female phone numbers, and be disgusted by women in general. Like I get it, if I'd a partner, I'd want them to be loyal, but why take such strict measures? Lmao.

Same goes for people who think "heterosexual friendships don't exist". Like whaaat?

It's all about trying to destroy the partner's "other options" and I think it's all done out of fear. When I've seen this, guess who is more likely to cheat... yup, not the one that mindlessly allows themselves to be cut off from the outside world as if they're in a cult... it's usually the one getting super pissed about even thinking some movie star looks good as if it was cheating. Seen this type of stuff from males and females alike.

I'm honestly not fussed either way. Like I approve of genuine friendships between people but I'm not a fan of friendships where my partner fancies the other person.

I would see it as a red flag if a person could not get along with anyone of the a specific gender.
