Your relationship is progressing very very slowly, and you dont even know for sure if the girl likes you, but you still try to make others know that you and the girl are texting or spending some time together. Can you relate?
I'm not a dude, so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but... when I first started dating my boyfriend 2.5 years ago, I don't think he told many people about me in the beginning. I don't think it came from being unsure about me or anything, just that he wanted things to be a little more secure before he told everyone. If things crashed and burned, he didn't want to have to tell everyone that things didn't work out.
Flash forward a couple years... my boyfriend's best friend met a girl while the 3 of us were out together. My boyfriend and I obviously knew the girl existed because we were there when they met. But the guy didn't mention her to anyone else for at least a month or so. Probably wanted to make sure it was an actual thing before telling people.
No unless it's serious I wouldn't mention her. So someone has to be snooping to even find out she exists.
Probably not... I can't think of any benefit to telling people until we're a real thing.
