My boyfriend is distant at university. Is there any chance he puts me in the friendzone and what should I do?

I've been in a relationship with my boyfriend for 3 months now. It all started in summer holidays but 2 days ago we went to uni. We're new at uni and we had to socialize. So, we found a group of 10 friends half of which are girls.

My boyfriend and I agreed that we should avoid showing in public that we are in a relationship. We have the same group of friends and most of the times we sit together at classes but his vibes are way too friendly. He avoids eye contact with me and he is very talkative with everyone in the group, even with our female friends. Hopefully, he doesn't flirt with them but the rest of the girls approach him a lot because maybe they are attracted to him...

I know it's only been a while at uni but I want to avoid ending up in the friendzone. We haven't really spent any time just the two of us since we went to uni and we're currently busy. However, please note that the day before our uni opening, he asked me out and kissed me for the first time.

Today I asked him on a date and he said we'll organize that but what if it doesn't happen on time? What if a classmate of us seduces him? What if he starts viewing me as a friend and nothing more than that?

You're worried about being the friend zone, when you should worry about being in the option, hidden fling zone. He wants to hide all ties with you cause he's not taking you or the relationship seriously and probably doesn't want other girls knowing he's seeing you cause it will mess up his other opportunities with him. I think you should just drop the guy cause this will lead you no where but disappointment and heartache. If someone is your boyfriend for 3 months, they wouldn't ve acting like they don't know you in public, when someone is ashamed to claim you in front others, it's not a good sign. Anyway your in college, there's plenty of guys in sure you can find that will treat you better than this.

OK I've also agreed to keep my relationship secret from others but I am very nervous cuz he doesn't care to show his feelings in our private time... yesterday I texted him I love him and he was so dry... he says he wants to hang out with all of us but he can't find time to hang out only with me. It's so unfair and I don't know what to do cuz he's perfect in my eyes and I am so attached to him 😭😭

I think you messed up agreeing to that causr look how he's treating you. He's giving you all the signs that he's not that into, how do you see that as perfect? You're playing yourself and going to get hurt. He's not perfect, he's just some guy tagging you along for now but if that's what you want so be it. Are you really 17? And how old is he? I wouldn't be surprised, girls your age are very easy to take advantage of. You need to be careful.

He's the same age as me. The thing is that he behaves like this but when he sees me talking to other guys he easily gets jealous. He has stopped sending me hearts and stuff but he is always close to me on purpose and when I need uni notes and stuff he's the first to share them with me and ask me what I need. I find this rather complicated, what do his actions mean?

Tell him that you dont like being treated that way. That it's causing you stress and making you feel doubts about his seriousness. Yeah, you shouldn't be THAT couple that hangs all over each other 24/7, but it sounds more like he's over-correcting and giving you the cold shoulder instead
