Why does this girl bully me then get offended when I do the same back to her?

This girl in my social circle puts me down. She always picks on my appearance and remarks about my weight because I'm skinny and find it hard to gain weight. She also comments on my height and tells me guys won't be interested in me beyond sex.

I've stood up for myself a couple of times, I know she's jealous so I don't take her remarks seriously. But I'll say "well we're the same height so you must be short as well." And she gets extremely offended at even the slightest remark back and tells me to fuck off or stop picking on her. She makes me out to be the bad guy. She then tells her boyfriend and he thinks I'm the bully because she tells him that. Why is she so hypocritical?

She's very insecure and jealous probably.

She probably feels entitled to pick on you because she thinks you're better than her in some ways, so she just feels she's levelling out the playing field.

But you're not allowed to do that, because she's obviously insecure. You're less insecure, so you 'deserve' the put downs.

She’s clearly incredibly insecure. People only see faults in others when they are. Otherwise they go unnoticed.

Next time she says something it’s more a sign to almost feel sorry for her than any reason to be hurt.
